The UNC Russian Flagship program is purposefully designed to be useful to students of all majors. UNCRFP welcomes learners of Russian of all levels of proficiency and educational backgrounds (this includes both non-native and native learners of the language as well as students with no previous knowledge of Russian).

Your commitment to gaining a superior level of Russian proficiency, assessed and evaluated independently, is key to your success in the Program. This entails the completion of all required coursework, participation in and contribution to UNCRFP-sponsored extracurricular activities, participation in a pre-Capstone study abroad program, and graduation from the Capstone year abroad.

Only U.S. Citizens and permanent residents are eligible to participate in the Flagship Program.
